I moved over here after a few days at aother wonderful hotel near 'The Monkey Temple'. The Marshyangdi sits on the edge of Thamel. My friends from the States had arrived and we were getting ready to go out for 3 weeks to the mountains. I enjoyed this location because it was easy to walk anywhere from here - Durbar Square. Patan, etc. - ATM's and money changers were easy to access and there were lots of restaurants available. Our group was transported out of the Marshyangdi very efficiently also. The hotel staff were very nice, I loved my rooms (I stayed there before and after our trip) and I loved going to the roof to watch Kathmandu! There is a nice courtyard for eating and drinking. I found it quite sufficient for basing, as they store your luggage (everyone does), but the man who organized the 3 of us liked this place so this is where we stayed. I liked it too!
